In an action-packed MPL match, RPL Riders defeated MG Stars by 29 runs in an exciting contest. MG Stars won the toss and chose to bowl first, but the decision didn’t go in their favor as RPL Riders put up a strong total of 164 runs. Despite a few good knocks from the MG Stars’ batting lineup, they were bowled out for 135 in 16.4 overs. The star of the match was Aaradhya Yadav, who played an unbeaten knock of 82 runs and also picked up 3 important wickets.
RPL Riders Innings:
RPL Riders didn’t have a strong start as Vivek Saroha was dismissed early for just 2 runs. However, Garvit Chaudhary helped settle things with a steady 31 off 28 balls, hitting 5 boundaries.
Nishant Thakur chipped in with 6 runs, but it was Aaradhya Yadav who stole the show with an incredible 82 not out from 55 balls, hitting 6 fours and 2 sixes. His powerful and controlled innings kept the scoreboard moving.
Muneeb Ahmad added 18 runs, and Ritik Rana and Digvijay Singh added a few more to push the total to 164 runs in 20 overs, at a run rate of 8.2.
MG Stars Innings:
Chasing 165, MG Stars got off to a rocky start. Aksh was out on the very first ball. Naman tried to bring the innings back on track with a quick 32 off 21 balls, and Ashmit Baliyan added 17, but wickets kept falling at regular intervals.
Aaradhya Yadav continued his all-round brilliance by taking 3 key wickets, including Manish Yadav, Kumar Gaurav, and Mohd Areeb, all in quick succession.
