After schedule tweaks, India will play Pakistan on the opening day of the Women's Asia Cup
Women's Asian Cup 2024 details and dates got tweaked. On July 19th, the Indian women's team will face the Pakistan team in the evening.
The Asian Cricket Council declared the women’s Asian Cup 2024 dates schedule, the entire tournament will be followed on the land of Sri Lanka in Dambulla. The opening day match for the tournament will kick start in the afternoon between UAE and Nepal. Following the game in the evening the most awaited rivalry will faced between India and Pakistan.
Originally, July 21 was the date set for the first match. In this timetable, the opening match will be between Nepal and Pakistan followed by India versus UAE. These matches have been rescheduled for July 21 and the other games will remain as planned.
The tournament is scheduled to be played between July 19 to 28th and all matches will be played in Dambulla. There will be Eight teams will be featured in the tournament and one additional team will be further featured this time than the previous year.
Contrary to previous years, the teams are divided into two groups with four teams in each group namely A and B where Group A has India, Nepal, Pakistan and UAE and Group B has Sri Lankans who are hosting the tournament along with Bangladesh, Malaysia and Thailand. The first and second teams from each group will qualify for the semi-final fixtures that will be played on July 26th. The final match will be played out on the 28th of July.
Just like last time, this year's tournament will also have all-women umpires and match officials. The Asia Cup will be followed by the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 in Bangladesh from October 3 to October 20.

July 20: Malaysia vs Thailand (2 pm), Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh (7 pm)
July 21: India vs UAE (2pm), Pakistan vs Nepal (7 pm)
July 22: Sri Lanka vs Malaysia (2pm), Bangladesh vs Thailand (7pm)
July 23: Pakistan vs UAE (2pm), India vs Nepal (7pm)
July 24: Bangladesh vs Malaysia (2pm), Sri Lanka vs Thailand (7pm)
July 26: Semi-final 1 (2pm), Semi-final 2 (7pm)
July 28: Final (7pm)
