Harbhajan Singh: Virat and Rohit Have the Fitness to Play Longer

Former Indian offspinner Harbhajan Singh feels Rohit Sharma can easily continue playing international cricket for at least two years, while Virat Kohli could even go on for five years.

As per Harbhajan Singh's point of view, Virat Kohli is all fit and is able to survive at least five years more in the International Cricket World Meanwhile Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma has the capacity to last another couple of years.
When Asked Harbhajan about his point of view on Virat and Rohit then he made a statement and said he thinks Virat Kohli has supreme fitness and can easily survive in international cricket for at least five years more while Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma can stay for two years. He said you don’t know about the fitness of Virat Kohli he can compete for five years as he is also the fittest player in the team. If any 19-year-old competes with Virat Kohli he can easily beat him. He also thinks that there is a lot of cricket left in Rohit and Kohli and if they are fit enough they should perform and not stop playing. The Man who had secured 700 plus international wickets said.
Harbhajan Singh believes that Test cricket is a format where both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are essential.
"In red-ball cricket, you need these two to play more than what people are asking for. Experience is important in all formats, whether it's limited-overs or Test cricket. You need seasoned players to help nurture the upcoming talent."
He added that the selector needs to make the right choice and see if someone is not performing well then they should be dropped otherwise everyone who is fit and performing well must play. And if they aren’t able to contribute then their time has come, they need to make way for new players.
At last, it is the decision of an individual player and the selector's point of view as they are there to watch who is performing well at what age, they need to consider each factor before picking any of them. He also believes that Youngsters are capable and have more to win than the senior players.
He said he always believed that young players were more hungry than the seniors. After playing for 15 years, that hunger can diminish a bit. It's great to see Riyan Parag getting opportunities, Yashasvi Jaiswal rising, and Shubman Gill performing well." Harbhajan downplayed India's 0-2 loss to Sri Lanka in the ODIs.
"It was just one of those things. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. That's sports for you. Every team goes through such phases. You can play well and still not win. Credit to Sri Lanka; they played better than India."
