India faced off against South Africa in a game. India took to the crease first and managed to accumulate 176 runs. South Africa made an effort to catch up to this score, but India's trio of bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya, put a halt to their attempts. India won the match by seven runs and claimed their first ICC Title since 2013.

The Divergence:

In the match, Klaasen hit India’s spinners hard, scoring quickly with five sixes and two fours. However, Bumrah bowled brilliantly in the end, giving away just six runs in his remaining two overs. They achieved seven wickets, with Klaasen's key removal being a major factor, resulting in a disheartening defeat for South Africa.

South Africa:

The Initial Overs - 42/2 [RR: 7.0, 4s/6s: 6/0]

At the start, Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah executed some solid strategies. Arshdeep was close to getting Reeza Hendricks out, but the ball missed the wicketkeeper. Arshdeep gave away only six runs despite being hit for a boundary early on. Bumrah bowled well, making Quinton de Kock miss the ball and then tricking Hendricks to get him out. Aiden Markram hit a boundary off Bumrah's ball, but soon after, he got caught out by Arshdeep. In the match, Klaasen quickly scored fifty runs off 23 balls. India's Bumrah bowled well but South Africa was still in control with only 26 runs needed from 24 balls. India:

The Initial Overs - 45/3 [RR: 7.5, 4s/6s: 7/0]

In the cricket match, Kohli showed good form and eased any worries about his performance in the World Cup. He hit boundaries off Marco Jansen's deliveries on a dry pitch that didn't help the ball move much. Rohit Sharma also scored with two fours off Maharaj but got out trying to sweep. Rishabh Pant followed soon after, caught by the 'keeper while attempting a big shot. Suryakumar struggled initially but managed to score a couple of runs. Kohli played carefully to stabilize India's innings after losing quick wickets. However, Suryakumar got out trying to hit a slower ball, leaving India in a tough position at 34/3. Axar then scored his first runs with a boundary off Rabada. Markram bowled a quiet over towards the end of the powerplay, giving away only six singles.

The Middle Overs - 73/1 [RR: 8.11, 4s/6s: 0/5]

Nortje started bowling after the first part of the game, and his first over only gave away four runs. Then Axar took charge against the spin bowlers, hitting big shots like the slog sweep for six runs each off Markram and Maharaj. Both batters focused on scoring singles and twos, building a partnership of fifty runs in 42 deliveries. Kohli stayed at the crease for a long time, while Axar aimed to score heavily against the spinners. He hit his third six by clearing the boundary in Shamsi’s second over. Nortje bowled tightly without giving away many chances, but Rabada faced some tough hits. Axar hit a straight six off Rabada’s full delivery, taking India past 100 runs in the 14th over. However, their partnership of 72 runs ended when Axar was run out by de Kock. Shivam Dube then joined in, hitting a six off Jansen’s slower ball straight away.

The Final Overs - 58/3 [RR: 11.6, 4s/6s: 5/2]

Dube hit a four off Nortje as India scored the highest in a T20 World Cup final. The last over was good for South Africa, with only 9 runs scored and wickets taken, but India finished strong with 101 runs in the second half of their innings.
