India to Play Pink-Ball Warm-Up Match Before Day-Night Test in Australia
India will be touring Australia later this year for a five match Border Gavaskar Trophy series starting on November 22 in Perth.
A two-day day-night practice match has been announced by Cricket Australia (CA) for Team India at Manuka Oval for the upcoming Pink-ball test. The Indian cricket team will play a two-day day-night match against Australia’s Prime Minister’s XI between the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The five-Test series between India and Australia starts in Perth on November 22.
After the 1991-92 season, this is going to be the first match where the two best teams are going to meet for five tests in a series. The Indian cricket team will play a two-day day-night match against the Prime Minister's XI at Manuka Oval in Canberra on November 30 and December 1, according to Cricket Australia.
In the itinerary, the fixture has been added that is going to help the India team players prepare for the day-night test at Adelaide. Cricket Australia (CA) announced that this year's Prime Minister's XI match will celebrate the long cricket relationship between India and Australia, which started in 1947 when India became independent. The event will also honor the growing economic, cultural, and community connections between the two countries and will include a historic first.
This will be the fourth time India has played against the Prime Minister's XI in Australia. However, unlike the previous 48 matches, which were all one-day games since 1951, this event will be held over two days for the first time.
