A look at how each team obtained the players in the mega auction.

PBKS
With new head coach Ricky Ponting, Punjab Kings (PBKS) are getting ready for an exciting season in the IPL as they smartly spent their biggest budget (Rs 120.5 crore) compared to other teams to create a well-rounded squad. A key highlight was signing Shreyas Iyer, a well-known Indian batsman, for a record-breaking amount of Rs 26.75 crore.

11. Marco Jansen sold to PBKS at 7 Crore. 
12. Inglis teams up with Stoinis, Maxwell, and Ponting at PBKS at 2.6 crore.
13. Lockie Ferguson snap up by  PBKS for 2 crore

GT 
Gujarat Titans (GT) entered the Indian Premier League auction looking to get the players they wanted to complete their team. Before the auction at the Abadi Al Johar Arena, GT had already used Rs 51 crore out of their total budget of Rs 120 crore to keep five players.
 

1.  GT Bids Kagiso Rabada at 10.75 crore.
2. Jos Buttler transfers to GT at INR 15.75 crore.
3. Siraj Left for Gujrat Titans for INR 12.25 crore.
4. Prasidh Krishna enters at 2 crores to GT.
5. Nishant Sindhu sold  to GT for 30 lakh
6. GT has bought Mahipal Lomror at 1.70 Crore.
7. Kumar Kushagra Sold to GT at 65 Lakhs.
8. GT bought Anuj Rawat at 65 Lakhs.
9. Manav Suthar Get back to GT at 30 lakh.
10. Washington Sundar has been acquired by GT at 2 crore.
11. Gerald Coetzee is picked up by the Titans for 2.4 crore

 
DC
DC made a big move by spending Rs 14 crore to get KL Rahul, which is considered one of the best deals of the auction. They also signed Mitchell Starc, a winning pacer, for Rs 11.75 crore. Additionally, they used the right-to-match option to bring back Australian player Jake Fraser-McGurk for Rs 9 crore.

3. Harry Brook returns to DC at INR 6.25 crore.
4. Jake Fraser-McGurk is back in DC at 2 Crore.

7. DC purchased Sameer Rizvi for 95 Lakhs.
8. 3.80 crore has been spent on Ashutosh Sharma by DC.
9. Mohit Sharma got back to DC at 2.2 crore.
10. Faf du Plessis sold to DC for his base price of 2 crore.
11. Mukesh Kumar remains with DC at 8 Crore. 

LSG
The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) came to the auction with a well-thought-out budget. Before the retention phase, each IPL team was given a budget of Rs 120 crore. LSG spent Rs 69 crore to keep their important players, leaving them with Rs 51 crore for the auction.
 

1.  David Miller Goes to LSG  for INR 7.50 crore.
2. Rishab Pant sold to LSG and became the most expensive auction player of 27 crore.
3. Aiden Markram was sold to LSG at 2 crore.
4. Mitch Marsh Goes to LSG at 2 crore
5. Avesh Khan is set to rejoin LSG for 2 Crore.
6. Abdul Samad moves to LSG for INR 4.20 crore
7. LSG bought Aryan Juyal for 30 Lakhs.
8. Akash Deep sold  to LSG for 8 crore

RCB
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) started the 18th season with a new team that they built during the IPL auction held at the Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Before the auction, RCB kept three important players: Virat Kohli (Rs 21 crore), Rajat Patidar (Rs 11 crore), and Yash Dayal (Rs 5 crore). 
 

1.  Livingstone Trade to RCB for INR 8.75 crore.
2. Phil Salt leaves for RCB at 2 crore
3. Jitesh Sharma Put on sale to RCB for 11 crore
4. Josh Hazlewood transferred to RCB for 12.5 crore.
5. Rasik Salam  Sold to RCB for 6 crore.
6. RCB grabs Suyash Sharma at  2.6 crores.
7. Krunal Pandya was scooped up by RCB for 4.2 crore.
8. Bhuvneshwar Kumar went to RCB 10.75 crore

 
SRH
SRH entered the auction with a clear plan to build a strong and competitive team. By keeping five key players, the 2016 IPL champions hope to regain their winning form and solve the problems that have hurt their performances in recent seasons.
 

1.  SRH bids for Mohammad Shami and bought him at 10 crore.
2. Harshal Patel bids for 2 crore to SRH
3. SRH selected Ishan Kisan at 11.25 crore.
4. Rahul Chahar is purchased by SRH for 3.2 crore.
5. Adma Zampa was sold to SRH for 2.4 crore.
6. Atharva Taide was purchased by SRH for 30 lakh
7. Abhinav Manohar was sold to SRH for INR 3.20 crore
8. Simarjeet Singh bought to SRH At 1.5 crore. 

CSK 
The five-time champions Chennai Super Kings made some notable purchases in the IPL auction. On the first day of the auction, CSK added seven players, with Ravichandran Ashwin and Noor Ahmad as their most expensive buys. On Day 2, their biggest purchase was pacer Anshul Kamboj for Rs 3.40 crore. They also signed players like Sam Curran, Vijay Shankar, and Deepak Hooda among others.

2. Rahul Tripathi to CSK at 3.4 crore
3. Devon Conway was sold to CSK for INR 6.25 crore.
4. Ravindra reunites with Conway at CSK at 1.5 crore.
5. Khaleel Ahmed is all set to join CSK.
6. Noor Ahmad moves to CSK for INR 10 crore
7. 1.2 Crore spent on Vijay Shanker by CSK
8. Sam Curran is brought back by CSK for 2.4 crore. 

 
KKR
After bringing back four players from their title-winning team, including all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer for an impressive Rs 23.75 crore, Kolkata Knight Riders made some clever picks on the second day of the mega auction. They aimed to secure top players while sticking to their limited budget, and they managed to do quite well.
 

1.  Venkatesh Iyer makes a comeback to KKR after being sold for 23.75 crore.
2. Quinton de Kock was sold to KKR for 3.6 crore.
3. Anrich Nortje Joins KKR: A Tearaway Bowler Signs for 2 Crore.
4. KKR brings back Vaibhav Arora at 1.7 crore.
5. Mayank Markande picks up at at 30 lakh.
6. Rovman Powell gets back to KKR  for 1.5 crore.
7. Angkrish Raghuvanshi Becomes part of Knight Rider again for INR 3 crore.

 
RR
The Rajasthan Royals took an assertive approach on the first day of the Mega Auction, quickly using a significant portion of their budget to secure some star players. Jofra Archer was the standout Choice, as RR successfully brought back their former player for an impressive ₹12.50 crore. Not only that, they have also retained some of their best players, which include Maheesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Nitish Rana, Tushar Deshpande and Fazalhaq Farooqi.

2. Maheesh Theekshana is bought by RR for 4.40 crore.
3. RR Purchased Wanindu Hasaranga for 5.25 crore.
4. Akash Madhwal moves to RR at 1.2 crore.
5. Kumar Kartikeya solds to RR at 30 Lakhs.
6. Nitesh Rana is picked up by RR for 4.2 crore.
7. Tushar Deshpande was sold to RR for INR 6.50 crore.

 
MI 
The Mumbai Indians (MI) have made some smart moves to boost their team for the 2025 IPL season. At the IPL auction in Jeddah on November 24, 2024, they secured a great mix of experienced players and promising newcomers, underlining their strategic approach to creating a strong and competitive squad. The team is definitely planning to come strong this year, which is why they have brought back their best players such as Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Tilak Varma. MI invested the most money in bringing back experienced New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult, who was bought for INR 12.5 crore.

2. Naman Dhir was sold to MI for INR 5.25 crore
3. Mumbai Indians bought Robin Minz at 65 Lakhs.
4. Karn Sharma gets back to MI 50 lakh.

7. MI brings Allah Ghazanfar for 4.80 crore
