Jacob Duffy has been added to New Zealand's ODI team for the tri-series in Pakistan
Duffy finds the place in the national team to cover Lockie Ferguson's absence.
New Zealand has added Jacod Duffy the fast bowler to the squad of ODI tri-series against Pakistan and South Africa starting from Lahore on 8 February. He was added mainly to fill in for Lockie Ferguson, who is now playing in the ILT20 in the UAE.
In Duffy’s career, he has played 10 ODIs in which he has taken 18 wickets with a total average of 25.94 and the economy was 6.25. Recently he has been able to take four wickets in only two ODIs along with 8 wickets in 3 T20Is that was against Sri Lanka in New Zealand ended at the start of January this year.
The squad has decided to depart on 3 February for Pakistan for their Tri-series match afterwards the Champions Trophy. New Zealand will play two matches in the tri-series in Lahore: one against Pakistan on February 8 and another against South Africa on February 10. The final match will take place in Karachi on February 14.
After that, New Zealand will have a warm-up game for the Champions Trophy against Afghanistan on February 16. Their first match of the tournament will be against Pakistan on February 19, and both of these games will also be in Karachi.
After that, they will reach Rawalpindi for their Group A fixture which is going to be against Bangladesh on 24 February, then they will travel to Dubai for their next game against India on 2 March, as the Indian team didn’t get the clearance from the government to travel Pakistan for any Champion Trophy matches.
