Men's Twenty20 World Cup commentary panel announced by ICC
ICC has included some of the biggest names in broadcasting sensation for the Men's T20 World Cup in New York and West Indies.
ICC will also persist with the unparalleled viewership experience of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 and again assemble some leading personalities in cricket and broadcasting from nine locations in the United States and West Indies.
The prime face of the commentary team are renowned names such as Ravi Shastri, Nasser Hussain, Ian Smith, Mel Jones, Harsha Bhogle, and Ian Bishop. In addition to the information about the contemporary approach to the game, the team will consist of the former T20I WC participants, including Men’s and Women’s T20 WC winners; Dinesh Karthik, Ebony Rainford–Brent, Samuel Badree, Carlos Brathwaite, Steve Smith, Aaron Finch, and Lisa Sthalekar.
Ricky Ponting, Sunil Gavaskar, Matthew Hayden, Ramiz Raja, Eoin Morgan, Tom Moody, and Wasim Akram are all former 50-over World Cup winners and all these brains will also be going to share their experiences for the upcoming tournament.
Joining the World Cup for the first time on the commentary box, James O’Brien better known by his internet handle jomboy, will endeavour to bring context to the games as American audiences will be watching.
Other prominent team members include Dale Steyn, Graeme Smith, Michael Atherton, Waqar Younis, Simon Doull, Shaun Pollock and Katey Martin. In terms of broadcasting personalities related to cricket, the names include Mpumelelo Mbangwa, Natalie Germanos, Danny Morrison, Alison Mitchell, Alan Wilkins, Brian Murgatroyd, Mike Haysman, Ian Ward, Athar Ali Khan, Russel Arnold, Niall O’Brien, Kass Naidoo and former West Indies skipper Daren Ganga.

During the 28-day challenge, ICC will bring out a pre-match show, an innings interval session, and a post-match analysis.
ICC TV to introduce an AI-powered vertical feed for the T20 World Cup based on the success of a similar feature used in the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. This ground-breaking feature will be the first of its kind internationally and is being produced in collaboration with Disney Star, Quidich Innovation Labs, and NEP.
