Titans Set the Tone with a Solid Batting Display
Winning the toss, MMC Titans chose to bat first and made full use of the opportunity. The innings started with Kartikey Veer, who gave his team a steady start by scoring 24 runs off 26 balls. Although they lost a few wickets early on, the Titans’ middle order stood tall.
Deepak Rana contributed a useful 26 off 26 balls, while Mohit Sharma added firepower with 33 off 24 balls, keeping the scoreboard ticking. But the real star of the innings was Ritik Vats, who played a breathtaking knock of 50 runs off just 25 balls* smashing 6 fours and a six. His quick scoring helped the Titans reach a competitive total of 161/5 in 20 overs.
Silverton's Tigers Fight Hard but Fall Short
Chasing 162 to win, Silverton's Tigers had a mixed start. Gaurav Tomar came out with an aggressive approach, smashing 37 runs off only 18 balls, including 4 fours and 3 sixes, giving early hope to his side. However, wickets at regular intervals hurt their momentum.
Aditya Sharma, Harshit Rathi, and Ashwani Panwar couldn’t stay long at the crease, while the pressure kept mounting. Naman Tarar and Praveen Kumar tried to keep the chase alive with scores of 21 and 19, but the required run rate kept rising.
In the end, it was Prashant Surya who gave a late fightback with a brilliant 40 off 25 balls*, but with little support from the lower order, the Tigers could only manage 143/9 in their 20 overs.
