Nair and Shorey hit unbeaten centuries to lead Vidarbha into the Vijay Hazare Trophy semi-finals

Karun Nair continued his batting form with an unbeaten ton in 2nd quarter final against Rajasthan.

All thanks to the Karun Nair and Dhruv Shorey’s excellent century Vidarbha was able to complete the target of 292 runs that was against Rajasthan and put a step forward towards Vijay Hazare Trophy. 
On the other hand, Nair the Vidarbha captain mark his four consecutive century that was also his fifth in the entire season and completed a total of 122 runs. And his run chart whoops up to 664 runs that is his average too as he has been dismissed only one time in all the six innings. 
Whereas, Nair and Shorey together make an unbeatable record of 200 runs for the second wicket and team was able to hit the target in only 43.3 over. First Shorey started with the Yash Rathod where he made 92 run after that Nair joined him. 
Then both made the game short where Shorey been able to hit the ten fours along with three sixes and finishes off on 118 runs in 131 balls. On the other hand, Nair was aggressive for the game, and made 122 runs in just 82 deliveries.  
When Rajasthan started balling, they were slow at first and managed to make only 15 runs after which in the seventh over opener Abhijeet Tomar fell to Nachiket Bhute. One over later, his opening partner Manav Suthar was dismissed by Yash Thakur.
Mahipal Lomror and Deepak Hooda put together a 71-run partnership before both were dismissed within four overs. Shubham Garhwal and Kartik Sharma added 82 runs for the fifth wicket until Yash Thakur struck again, dismissing Garhwal for 59. Kartik then built a 50-run stand with wicketkeeper Samarpit Joshi, but both were dismissed in back-to-back overs, leaving Rajasthan's score under 250. Deepak Chahar hit three sixes and two fours in a quick-fire 31 off 14 balls, pushing Rajasthan closer to 300. 
Thakur was Vidarbha's star bowler, finishing with 4 for 39. Vidarbha will face Maharashtra in the second semi-final in Vadodara on January 16.
