Naman Dhir is the latest and yet unknown scout member of Mumbai Indians, which was bought for Rs 20 lakh in the auction period. A 24-year-old batter from Punjab. Dhir debuted his career in the T20 innings just a few months back in November 2023, with a high score of 17 only. For the Ranji Trophy, Naman Dhir has two centuries from 20 innings with 14 games played for an average of 30.21. And for the state team Punjab, he has batted at the No. 3 position in his batting career so far. Dhar’s Professional career has counted on this just his sixth T20 game and yet to bat in a 50-over game in domestic cricket. Dhir made himself noticed with his performance during the Sher-E-Punjab T20 Cup (which was organized by the Punjab Cricket Association). His hitting exploit made his career noticeable with 12 innings played in that tournament. Naman smashed 466 runs(second-highest) at a strike rate of 192.56 while averaging 42.36. during the innings record he also smashed two centuries- 127 off 56 and 105 off 44 (including 30 sixes). On Sunday night against Gujarat Titans, his little aggressive batting made believe in the team management. He smoked three back-to-back fours & one six against an Afghanistan bowler (playing for Gujarat Titans). Mumbai Indians Coach Kieron Pollard quoted his performance after 1st match ‘He came out and he was very expressive. Again that lofted shot, you have got to be excited about these things. I thought he had a lot more to offer, his calmness even when we lost that first wicket, to continue that intent is a good start for him.
