Nepal will be unaccompanied by their star leg spinner when they play against Sri Lanka at Lauderhill in Florida on Wednesday
Sandeep Lamichhane will join Nepal’s team for the World Cup 2024 in the Caribbean, but he was unable to play in the first two games in the USA. He used to be Nepal’s captain but had some legal trouble. They said he did something wrong, but later on, they discovered that he didn’t. Even though he’s free to play now, he couldn’t go to the USA because he couldn’t get a visa. Nepal’s cricket crew and some government people tried to help him, but it didn’t work.
As a repercussion, Nepal will be unaccompanied by their star leg spinner when they play against Sri Lanka at Lauderhill in Florida on Wednesday, just as they were when they strayed to the Netherlands in Dallas the previous week. Lamichhane, nevertheless, will be procurable for Nepal's final two games in Kingstown, St. Vincent, against Bangladesh and South Africa.
Lamichhane was chosen for the big cricket tournament, but his name is kept a secret from everyone. Instead of him, they announced that the other player was named Patish GC. Lamichhane is now in the Caribbean, where he has played with teams like St Kitts and Navis Patriots, Barbados Tridents, and Jamaica Tallawahs. Even though he hasn’t played a real game in a while, he’s been practicing a lot in Kathmandu.
Lamichhane expressed gratitude to Nepal’s Government, Sports Ministry, National Sports Council, and Cricket Association of Nepal for supporting his US Visa endeavor, though it was unsuccessful. He eagerly anticipates joining the National team for two matches in the West Indies, aiming to realize his aspirations and those of cricket enthusiasts. Furthermore, he disapproved of criticism directed at CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand and Secretary Paras Khadka.
Nepal’s Cricket Association, CAN, said that Sandeep Lamichhane, a contender from Nepal, is going to the West Indies to join Nepal’s team for a big cricket tournament known as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Because of the Patan High Court on May 15th, CAN decided to bring Lamichhane into the main team of 15 players and keep another young bowler named Pratish Ji as a backup player who might travel with the team. This is exciting because Nepal hasn't been in this big cricket event for ten years, and we hope all Nepali cricket fans will come together and support our team!"
