Rinku Singh Joins India B Squad, Mayank Agarwal to Lead India A
Rinku Singh was added to the India B squad for the second round of Duleep Trophy.
For the upcoming series, the India test squad has been announced in which Kl Rahul, Shubham Gill, Kuldeep Yadav, Akash Deep, and Dhruv Jurel are all five names decided for the series against Bangladesh for the next Duleep Trophy round 2024-25. They are among the eight players released from the tournament who will participate in the Test series.
As the Gill Departs Mayank Agarwal is assigned to captain the India A team. The Indian men's selection panel has also appointed Pratham Singh to replace Gill, Akshay Wadkar to replace KL Rahul, SK Rasheed to replace Jurel, Shams Mulani to replace Kuldeep, and Aaqib Khan to replace Akash Deep.
India A squad: Riyan Parag, Mayank Agarwal (C), Tanush Kotian, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Tanush Kotian, Khaleel Ahmed, Prasidh Krishna, Kumar Kushagra, Avesh Khan, Akshay Wadkar, Aaqib Khan, SK Rasheed, Shams Mulani.
In Team India B, Yash Dayal, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant have been knocked out from the squad meanwhile Suyash Prabhudessai and Rinku Singh have been selected as the replacements. In the second round of the game, Sarfaraz Khan was also named for the Indian Squad.
India B squad: Sarfaraz Khan, Abhimanyu Easwaran (c ), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Navdeep Saini, Musheer Khan, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, R Sai Kishore, Rahul Chahar, Navdeep Saini, N Jagadeesan (WK), Himanshu Mantri (WK), Suyash Prabhudessai, Rinku Singh.
Team C will remain the same as the previous for the second round, while India D has knocked out Axar Patel's services. He has been replaced by the Haryana's Nishant Sindhu. On the other hand, Tushar Despandhe has also been out departed from the tournament because of niggle and Vidwath Kaverappa who has been ruled out from team A.
India D squad: Shreyas Iyer (c), Devdutt Padikkal, Yash Dubey, Atharva Taide, Aditya Thakare, Arshdeep Singh, Ricky Bhui, Saransh Jain, Saurabh Kumar, KS Bharat (wk), Akash Sengupta, Harshit Rana, Vidwath Kaverappa, Nishant Sindhu, Sanju Samson (wk), Saurabh Kumar, KS Bharat (wk), Akash Sengupta, Harshit Rana.
