Rishabh Pant to be Present for Delhi's next Ranji Trophy game after 7 years

Pant to be Present for Delhi's next Ranji Trophy game, but no update from Kohli yet

Pant will join the Delhi squad in Rajkot before their match against Saurashtra. Rishabh Pant's last Ranji Trophy appearance was in the 2017-18 season.

Rishabh Pant has been clarified that he is going to be available for the Next Ranji Trophy match going to be held in Delhi on 23 January, against Saurashtra and the news has been out by the DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma. He played his last Ranji Trophy in 2017-2018 season.
Virat Kohli's participation in the Ranji Trophy hasn’t been cleared yet as he played his last Ranji a long time ago in 2012.
Both Indian players are included in Delhi's list of possible players for the rest of the season.
Ashok Sharma told PTI that Pant has made it clear that he is gonna be available for the Ranji game and at Rajkot he will join the entire squad. And they want that Virat Kohli must play but he hasn’t said anything regarding that yet. On the other hand, Harshit Rana is gonna play for the T20 which makes him unavailable for Ranji.
Former India players Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri are among those urging current Test players, including the underperforming Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, to play red-ball cricket after the series loss in Australia.
Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal are also likely to play for their state teams, Punjab and Mumbai, respectively.
Rohit trained with the Mumbai team on Tuesday, but it’s unclear if he will be available for the next round of Ranji Trophy matches.
There is a guess about Kohli returning to the Ranji Trophy to regain his red-ball form. While it’s common for the DDCA to include star players in their list of probable, their final decision depends on their availability.
Rohit had skipped the final Test in Australia due to poor form, while Kohli’s struggles with deliveries outside the off stump worsened, being caught behind eight times in the five-Test series.
In addition to Kohli, Pant, and Harshit, Delhi has named 38 probables for the last two games. Currently, Delhi sits fourth in Group D with 14 points from five matches.
