South Africa beats Bangladesh for their third consecutive win in T20 World Cup 2024

South Africa won by 4 runs in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. This was their third win in a row it was a tough start

South Africa won a close game against Bangladesh by 4 runs in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. This was their third win in a row. They had a tough start, scoring only 23 runs for 4 wickets early on. But their final score of 113 was enough because Bangladesh couldn’t hit big shots on a tricky pitch in New York.
How Compact was the match?
The match was close. During the run–chase, on the second ball of the 17th over, the ball touched Mahmudullah’s leg and went to the fence. But the empire declared that he was out, and the decision stayed the same even after checking again. So, the four-leg byes didn’t count for Bangladesh.
What made the divergence?
Heinrich Klaasen came into bat at number 5 when his team was struggling. He scored 46 runs from 44 balls, hitting 2 fours and 3 sixes. Klaasen was named as the player of the match. He played carefully at first but then hit big shots later. His partnership with David Miller helped South Africa avoid losing wickets in the middle overs, setting a good target to defend.
