Sunrisers 10 wicket victory against the Super Giants on Wednesday and SRH climbed to the third spot in the IPL points table. This is the second time SRH made 100 runs within 10 overs Sunrisers restricted the LSG team to 166 runs.
SRH achieved the target of 166 runs in 9.4 overs and that too without losing any wickets. The openers Travis Head and Abhishek attacking performance in the game led the team to win with 10 wickets. Travis Head scored 89 runs in 30 balls and Abhishek Sharma secured 75 runs in 28 balls and both remain not out. These batsmen thrashed the LSG's bowlers with their 4's and 6's in yesterday's game. It was quite a show for the all-over viewers.
LSG won the toss and captain KL Rahul decided to bat first. The only partnership that worked for the LSG was between Ayush Badoni and Nicholas Pooran they both added 99 runs for the team. Badoni made 55 runs and Pooran scored 48 their partnership took the team to 165 runs. Their unbroken fifth-wicket partnership did work for the team as they lost the four wickets very soon in the match.
SRH bowling was also on point in the match as they restricted the team to a low target. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two wickets. LSG were in trouble as they lost their 4 wickets at 66 in 11.2. That unbeaten partnership of Badoni and Pooran was very much needed for the LSG team. SRH players were brilliant in the game Cummin's direct throw from mid sent Krunal Pandya back to the pavilion. In the end, we can say it was a SRH day from every perspective the whole SRH performance from batting to bowling and fielding was just brilliant.
