Raina's aggressive innings, consisting of 53 runs off just 28 balls, included three sixes and six boundaries.
However, Suresh Raina was taken from international cricket in 2020 but his love for cricket is never-ending as his batting is still making a splash. The National Cricket League (NCL) organises a Six60 Strikes tournament that is held in the United States where Raina shows even though he is away from International cricket his performance is strong.
Playing from the side of the New York Lions, this Indian Batter has totally smashed Los Angeles Waves' captain Shakib Al Hasan as he has given two sixes and one four in one over, which reminds all his fans about his batting powers.
In the game in Dallas, Raina completely took over, especially when he faced Shakib. Shakib, who had just played against India, found it hard to handle Raina's aggressive batting.
In an action-packed over, Raina confidently hit the first ball for a six, showing his determination. He then hit Shakib for a four and another six, which made it tough for the Waves' captain. Shakib, feeling overwhelmed, didn't bowl again after giving away 18 runs in just one over.
Raina’s innings were very aggressive as he gave 53 runs in just 28 balls only which included three sixes as well as six boundaries reaching New York Lions to get over a total of 126 runs in just 10 overs. His powerful performance, along with help from opener Upul Tharanga, who scored 40 runs from 23 balls, made sure the Lions dominated the game from start to finish.
Ben Cutting also scored 12 runs and which Lions made a target that wasn’t easy to achieve for the waves.
The Waves got off to a rough start when their opener, Stephen Eskinazi, got out for a golden duck. Shakib tried to stabilize the innings but only managed 13 runs off 16 balls before getting dismissed by Tabraiz Shamsi in the fourth over. Despite efforts from Adam Rossington and Tim David to turn things around, the Waves finished their innings at 107 for 7, 19 runs short of the target.
