The BCCI will plant 500 trees for every dot ball bowled in the 2024 IPL playoffs with Tata Group
BCCI had undergone with the similar initiative during the pervious season of indian premier league.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has partnered with the title-sponsored of the Indian Premier League Tata group for the environmental initiative cause to plant 500 trees in India. The initiative is spread on every dot ball delivered or bowled in the playoffs of the Indian Premier League of 2024.
Even, during the previous Indian Premier League season of 2023, the board of control of cricket had taken a similar sort of initiative. To the same extent, such as during the Qualifier 1 match between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans held in Ahmedabad- a total of 42,000 saplings were planted.
On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had already made it to the IPL 2024 finals by defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a match played on Tuesday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad by eight wickets.
The winner of this match will directly qualify for the further rounds and at the same time, the loser team will be out of the tournament. The team that triumphs in the Eliminator phase will face the side defeated in Qualifier 1 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The tournament final will also take place in Chennai because Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the IPL 2023 title and the hosting rights for the final were thus given to Chennai.
Kolkata Smashes Victory in the Qualifiers 1
Kolkata Knight Riders secured their spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) final for the fourth time by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 1. Mitchell Starc was stranded three times in the powerplay, while Heinrich Klaasen hit 32 off 21 balls and Rahul Tripathi scored the utmost for SRH with 55 off 35 balls. KKR achieved the target in 13.4 overs with the contribution of Venkatesh Iyer and captain Shreyas Iyer's undefeated innings.

Hyderabad will have one more chance to progress to the tournament for the title, as they will play with the winning team of the Eliminator round. Hyderabad will have another chance to move forward to the championship final on Sunday when they compete with the first-place finishers of the Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru eliminator.
