The Ghaziabad Cricket Association showed real grit, and that's how they won by 85 runs

Master Vaibhav T-20 Champions Trophy: Ghaziabad Cricket Association won dominantly over Meerut Red ( MDCA) in the opening game.

The Ghaziabad Cricket Association (GCA) secured a dominant victory in the 16th Master Vaibhav T-20 Champions Trophy, beating MDCA Red in Meerut by 85 runs. The GCA posted an impressive total of 197/7 in their given 20 overs, with some excellent batting performances and Siddharth Yadav achieved the Man of the Match title. The innings featured aggressive shots and vital partnerships, with significant contributions from Shantanu, Nalin Mishra, and Bhavya Goel.
Shantanu and Nalin Mishra found some boundaries in the first few overs, showcasing their aggressive batting, including a string of top-edge shots and controlled drives. Shantanu’s 6s and Nalin's steady strikes helped the team maintain momentum. Despite a few wickets falling, notably Shantanu and Nalin, the GCA's middle-order batsmen continued to pile on runs.
Key contributions in the latter overs came from Bhavya Goel and Siddharth Yadav, with Goel striking some beautiful lofted shots and fours to provide the necessary speed up. The batting depth allowed GCA to stay steady and finish strong, crossing the 190 mark despite the challenges posed by the opposition bowlers such as Aarush Goel. The team scored a strong total by mixing steady plays with a few big hits, which made it tough for MDCA Red to catch up.
In the field, the GCA bowlers were disciplined, with Anurag Poshwal and Vikas playing key roles. Despite a few boundaries from MDCA Red’s batsmen, GCA kept a tight grip on the match, taking crucial wickets at the right times. The strategy worked well, with MDCA Red's chase faltering as they lost wickets regularly.
Ultimately, Ghaziabad Cricket Association's balanced approach in both batting and bowling saw them through to a comfortable victory, securing a dominant 85-run win in a thrilling match.
MDCA Red's batting struggle led to their loss against the Ghaziabad Cricket Association (GCA) by 85 runs.
They started their innings with Vishvendar Chaudhary hitting a few boundaries but fell early, caught off Piyush Chaudhary’s bowling. The batting team lost key wickets in the early overs, with Ishu Sharma and Lakshya Rathi both getting out quickly, one caught and the other bowled LBW.
Ankur Malik showed some resistance with powerful shots, scoring a few boundaries, but he was bowled out by Yash Garg. Hardeep Singh also fought back, but he was caught off Ankit Chaudhary’s delivery.
As the innings continued, the middle order found it tough to build partnerships. There were some small contributions from players like Osho Mohan and Aarush, but wickets kept falling. In the end, MDCA Red could only manage 112 runs before they were all out in 17.3 overs.
Despite a few good shots here and there, the pressure from the GCA bowlers was too much, and MDCA Red’s batting couldn't keep up, resulting in a loss by 85 runs.
Brief Scores: Ghaziabad Cricket Association 197/7 in 20 overs (Bhavya Goel: 56, Siddharth Yadav: 49) beat MDCA Red 112/10 runs in 17.3 overs (Ankur Malik: 29, Hardeep Singh: 11) by 85 runs.
