The ICC announces broadcast plans for the 2024 Men's T20 World Cup
ICC has tied up with the top broadcaster around the globe to broadcast the 55 matches of the tournament.
For the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, ICC has released the details of the broadcast plans so fans can enjoy the biggest ICC World Cup with 20 teams and nine host locations.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is set to begin on the 1 June with the co-hosts USA playing their first match against Canada in Dallas and the World T20 final being held in Barbados on the 29 June.
The ICC through its direct broadcast affiliation with premier broadcasters across the world provides superb and out-of-this-world coverage of all 55 matches for fans in what is set to be the biggest spectacle in cricket carnival.
In India, Star Sports Network and Disney + Hotstar are two platforms where fans can turn for support as India tries to lay their hands on the Men’s T20 World Cup for the first time ever since the initiation of the tournament in 2007. Apart from the English world feed, Star Sports network has the rights to broadcast the game in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada and each match will also be live-streamed on the digital platform Disney+ Hotstar.
Star Network has emerged with yet another innovation in broadcasting the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup making the event more desensitised; Indian Sign Language Feed is the new audio descriptive commentary for an ICC event.
We get to witness the evolution of the prevalent feature of the vertical feed, which became live for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup last year and was produced by ICC TV in collaboration with Disney Star, to give fans all over the world a seamless and hassle-free experience of going mobile phone with all 55 matches so people can consume content on the go. The vertical feed will now bring new value to the fans with the help of AI-driven innovations that allow the casual viewer to enjoy the content conveniently on their mobile devices.
For viewers in the USA & Canada, WillowTV will provide live transmission of the inaugural T20 World Cup while the Willow by Cricbuzz app. Viewers from the Caribbean can follow the shows on TV through ESPN Caribbean and via the ESPN Play Caribbean application.
Cricket fans in the United Kingdom can watch the event's live coverage on Sky Sports Cricket, Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Action, and online on SkyGO, NOW, and Sky Sports App.
The International Cricket Council has selected Amazon as its new partner to broadcast the 55-match event in Australia exclusively through Prime Video. From the location perspective, for the viewers of New Zealand, Sky Sport NZ remains the official broadcasting partner for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

South Africa, Uganda, and Namibia supporters can follow all the matches live on SuperSport, with options to stream on the SuperSport app, for the South African people and the other 52 countries of Sub-Saharan Africa.
In the UAE and the MENA region all the games will be televised Live on STARZPLAY With broadcast rights will be offered on CricLife MAX and CricLife MAX2 in the UAE. While viewers in Pakistan can watch all the matches through our linear partners PTV and TEN Sports and digitally through MyCO and Tamasha applications. The local linear TV broadcaster will be Nagorik TV while Toffee will stream the tournament on its app and website.
In Sri Lanka, Maharaja TV decided to continue its partnership with ICC by airing its programs through TV1, Sirasa, and Shakti TV in the linear medium and their website on the digital medium. Interestingly, viewers can follow the matches in Sinhalese commentary for the first time only for Sri Lanka’s games through Maharaja TV. Viewers in Sri Lanka can also follow live event coverage on the ICC TV Mobile Application.
