Group B : Gujrat Vs Tripura
Gujarat's Urvil Patel, who was overlooked for the IPL 2025 Mega Auctions, scored the fastest century by an Indian and the second fastest in all T20 matches, achieving it in just 28 balls. This happened exactly one year after he hit the fastest hundred in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. While chasing a target of 156 runs against Tripura, Urvil quickly reached fifty in just 15 balls and finished with an unbeaten 113, helping Gujarat win in just 10.2 overs. His impressive innings included 12 sixes and 7 fours as he completely took charge of the game.
Group A : Bengal vs Mizoram
Abhishek Porel scored 81 runs off 45 balls, and Karan Lal added 67 runs off 40 balls to help Bengal win easily by 8 wickets against Mizoram in Rajkot. They chased down the target of 158 runs in just 15.3 overs. Mizoram started poorly, falling to 37 for 2, but Mohit Jangra stepped up and made an impressive 80 runs off 49 balls, helping his team finish strong. Despite this, the openers from Bengal built a huge partnership of 131 runs at a fast pace, almost securing the win. Although the set batsmen got out quickly, Bengal finished the game without any trouble, marking their third win in a row this season.
Group C : Manipur vs Uttar Pradesh
Opening batter Aryan Juyal hit a 29-ball half-century to guide Uttar Pradesh's seven-wicket thrashing of Manipur in Mumbai. Put into bat, Manipur struggled for momentum throughout their innings with nearly all batters getting starts but none of them converted it into a substantial score. Vineet Panwar took 3 for 17 off his four overs to tie Manipur down to a lowly 110 for 8 in their 20 overs. Juyal struck four maximums and as many fours in his 29-ball knock, and Nitish Rana provided the finishing touches at the end with his seven-ball cameo worth 20* as UP romped home with 8.4 overs to spare.
Group E : Andhra vs Goa
Captain Ricky Bhui went all out with a score of 72 not out off 38 balls, supported well by Srikar Bharat, who scored 57 quickly, helping Andhra hand Goa their third loss in a row. Suyash Prabhudessai made 51 not out at a tough time when Goa was struggling at 47 for 4 in just seven overs, thanks to KV Sasikanth taking two quick wickets during the PowerPlay. Prabhudessai partnered with Vikash Kanwar, who scored a steady 25 runs off 30 balls, and together they added 58 runs for the fifth wicket. Arjun Tendulkar also hit a few boundaries to help Goa finish with a decent score of 154 for 5. Tendulkar then made an early impact with the new ball, putting Andhra in trouble at 57 for 2 right after the PowerPlay. However, Bhui teamed up with Bharat to turn things around with an unbroken partnership of 98 runs. Bhui was the more aggressive player, hitting six sixes and five fours in his innings as Andhra secured their second consecutive win.
Group E : Kerala vs Nagaland
Rohan Kunnummal was the star of the match, scoring 57 runs off just 28 balls, while Sachin Baby added 48 runs not out as Kerala easily defeated Nagaland by eight wickets with 8.4 overs remaining. Nedumankuzhy Basil took 3 wickets for 16 runs, and Basil Thampi took 2 wickets for 27 runs, making it hard for the Nagaland team to score. Despite a late effort from Dega Nischal, Nagaland could only manage 120 runs for 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Kerala lost their first batter, Vishnu Vinod, early in the chase, but Rohan and Sachin formed a strong partnership, scoring 86 runs together. Rohan hit three sixes and six fours and was named Player of the Match for his explosive performance. Salman Nizar also made a quick contribution of 11 runs off just three balls at the end.
Group D : Vidarbha vs Puducherry
Karun Nair scored a quick 65 and opening partner Atharva Taide added 49* to lead Vidarbha to a simple 7-wicket win over Puducherry. Darshan Nalkande and Parth Rekhade each took three wickets, which helped limit Puducherry to a low score. After a 40-run partnership between Ankit Sharma (40 runs off 36 balls) and Arun Karthik (30 runs off 27 balls), Puducherry was bowled out for 136 with just two balls left. The Vidarbha openers then built a solid 101-run partnership that took the game away from the opposition. Although Ankit Sharma hit a few late boundaries, it was too late to change the outcome.
