USA men's team head coach Stuart Law appointed.
Stuart Law has been appointed the new head coach of the USA men's cricket team.
Former Australian Batter, who had been the head coach for Bangladesh and West Indies now been appointed as the new coach for the USA men’s team. The first assignment has been allocated for the three-match T20 series at home ground against Bangladesh ahead of the T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by USA along West Indies.
During the press conference, Stuart Law quoted his excitement about joining the team as head coach. He acknowledges that the USA is one of the strongest Associated nations in the cricket world and is confident he can build a strong team in the future which will be competitive with others. The first assignment for Stuart won’t be easy as he has to prepare the team for the upcoming series against Bangladesh. And later focus on the forthcoming world in the T20 cup from June which will be played at home.
‘Stuart Law is warmly regarded as one of the skilled and experienced coaches in cricket’, according to USA Cricket chairman, Venu Pisike. He further added that his additional experience in developing international teams makes him an asset to the USA Cricket team. Venu Pisike believes that Stuart's skills and expertise will help the USA team reach its full potential. The Chairman and management are excited about Stuart’s joining the team before the World Cup event.
Stuart Law previously delivered the head coach to various international playing cricket teams, Bangladesh and West Indies. For Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, he has been on an interim basis. He also served as the coach for the Bangladesh Under-19 team. In 2012, Stuart led the Bangladesh team to the first Asia Cup tournament.
Moreover, he had served in various roles for Australia’s team, including the batting coach to the international team and coaching to the under-19s team.
USA will play the three matches against Bangladesh at Prairie View, where they recently beat Canada by 4-0 in a T20I series.
