Williamson Rejects the NZ Central Contract

Kane can continue to play for New Zealand appearing in critical international games even if he does not want to train with the rest of the squad constantly.

Kane Williamson stunned everybody by deciding not to sign a new agreement for the season of 2024 - 25. He won’t be the skipper anymore but still wants to endorse New Zealand cricket.
Kane uttered that he would be ready to play for New Zealand at other times. But he won’t be able to play for New Zealand this time as he wants to take part in another country during the New Zealand Summer.
This brings him joy as he is involved in cricket representing New Zealand and would love to assist all his team members make it big. As much as he is passionate about enhancing his capability as a cricketer, he treasures his position in the team and wants to take responsibility for inspiring them in more cricketing events. Though he has a chance to play cricket overseas when it's summertime in New Zealand.
Playing for New Zealand is very special to Kane. He cares about the squad and wants to keep helping them. But lately, spending time with his family has become very important to him. He likes being with them at home or going on trips with them.
According to Scott Weenink the CEO of the New Zealand cricket team, they usually select players with limited dealings. But if they do get caught they will turn a blind eye to this particular act because, after all, Kane needs to play in the team. Thus, Kane can continue to play for New Zealand appearing in critical international games even if he does not want to train with the rest of the squad constantly.
However, in the current year, Kane had a poor show with New Zealand in the T20 World Cup. This was disappointing because they had performed well in other crucial cricketing events. Following this, a fast bowler apart of the New Zealand team named Trent Boult stated that he does not wish to participate in any more T20 World Cups. Now New Zealand has to select a new captain in the limited-overs format because Kane began his move to retire as the ODI and Test match skipper in 2022.
In addition, there is another player called Lockie Ferguson who also does not wish to ink the special contract. The list of players will be decided next month only.
